Satan, the Conflict of the Angels and the Churchesclip_image002

From the Book “Separation of Church and God, The Final Judgment”-By Jack Heckathorne

“And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, and prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels (now called demons) were cast out with him.” (Revelation 12:7-9)

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” (Ephesians 6:10-13)

The first reference to Jesus Christ in the Bible is found in Genesis 3:15. God is speaking to Satan.

“And I will put enmity (hostility) between thee and the woman, between thy seed and her seed; it (Jesus) shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”

God is declaring war upon Satan for bringing his sin into the world and corrupting his perfect creation; man. He tells Satan that even though he will injure Jesus, (bruise his heel) in paying for our sins upon the cross, that Jesus will deliver a crushing knock out blow to his head and thus Jesus will be victorious. Satan was cast out of heaven and onto the earth at some time before man existed. He will be cast out of the earth and into the lake of fire at the end of earth’s history. When Satan and one third of the angels were judged by God and sentenced to the Lake of fire, they rebelled. They came into conflict with the other two thirds of the angels who stayed with God. The world’s history is all about Satan, and his demons, and the resolution of this conflict between good and evil.

As human beings we fight on three fronts; the world and its evil systems, the flesh which is also known as the sin nature, and Satan. This armor of God is truth, righteousness, the gospel, faith, salvation, and the word of God. These are the weapons which we use to defend ourselves against Satan.

Before the beginning

Prior to the creation of man, the angel Lucifer existed in heaven, and he was the highest order of all Angels. He is the most powerful, most intelligent and most beautiful creature that has God had ever created. Satan and Devil are titles which mean liar, adversary of God and accuser of believers. Lucifer was appointed by God to be the Guardian of his throne room. This is the highest of honors in Heaven. Lucifer was created perfect and placed into heaven which is a place of perfection. As with all of God’s creations, Lucifer was given a free will to choose for or against God. God wants to be worshiped because of what he is, not because someone is coerced into it, just as you would want your family to love you, so he gave us a choice. God loves us because we are his creation and we love God because he is our creator, and we respond to his love. In the course of events, Lucifer used his free will to rebel against God and became the originator of sin. God did not create sin, he created a choice in accordance with his fairness.

Sin is rebellion against God, and God did not create rebellion against himself. Sin is a negative choice of our free will. Since God desired to keep heaven a place of perfection, Lucifer was judged by God and condemned to the Lake of Fire. In Ezek. 28:12b-15, God describes Lucifer before his fall.

“…you had the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty, You were in Eden the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering…on the day that you were created they were prepared. You were the anointed cherub who covers, and I (God) placed you there. You were on the holy mountain of God. You walked in the midst of the stones of the fire. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created, until unrighteousness was found in you

Eventually Satan used his own free will, became arrogant and rebelled, like so many of us, and desired to rule over the entire universe, even to the point of becoming equal with God. Obviously, Satan was on the ultimate power trip.

Satan’s five “I wills”

“But you said in your heart, I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars (angels) of God, and I will sit on the mount of the assembly in the recesses of the north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the most high.” (Isaiah. 14:13-14)

Satan was so persuasive that he enticed a third of the angels to go along with his scheme to become his own god. They too were judged and received the same sentence as Satan.

“And his (Satan’s) tail drew (deceived and took) the third part of the stars of heaven (angels) and did cast them to the earth…” (Revelation 12:4)

God cast Satan out of heaven to the earth, and not directly to the Lake of fire. Satan has not yet been cast into the Lake of fire, but he has been cast out of heaven, so we can only conclude that Satan has appealed God’s Judgment, and that man was created to resolve this conflict between the angels. This is the origin of the battle between good and evil. This battle rages yet today in our actions, our thoughts, our way of life and our beliefs about Jesus Christ. We are pawns in a desperate fight, torn between Satan’s deceit and God’s truth. John’s prophecy tells us that at the end of earth’s history Satan and his angels will be cast into the Lake of Fire at the final judgment along with the unbelievers, so that good and evil will be forever separated.

“And the devil that had deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever.”

(Revelation 20:10) “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was

cast into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:15)

Man’s Fall

God, in a demonstration of his fairness for condemning Satan, to all angels, set up a test. Man was created. Man was created perfect, and put in a place of perfect environment, with a perfect mate. Man was given a free will to choose for or against God, just as Satan had been given. Satan tempted the woman, and she sinned by eating of the forbidden fruit. The man also sinned because he listened to the woman, and ate of the fruit. The woman was deceived, but the man willfully disobeyed God, because the command to not eat was given to him. As a result they were cast out of the garden into a cursed world.

“Because thou has harkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; thorns and thistles shall it bring forth to thee and thou shall eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken; for dust thou art, and unto dust thou shalt return.” (Genesis 3:17-19)

Now man was the one who used his free will to sin against God, and found himself condemned to the Lake of Fire along with Satan. However, there was one difference. Satan’s judgment was, in effect, final and man’s was not. Satan will lose his appeal, because God has foreknowledge and knows how Satan’s appeal will end. It ended at the Cross. God’s judgment was perfect, and Satan has no way out of his condemnation.

Man, on the other hand, has a way to escape his condemnation as long as he is alive on the earth. God found a way to reconcile man to himself. God is allowing history to play out as a demonstration, to all who are observing, that his judgment upon Satan is fair and just.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten (uniquely born) Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not (shall never) perish, but have everlasting life.”

(John 3:16)

God has allowed Satan to have dominion of the earth. Originally man was to have dominion of it, but when he sinned he lost it to Satan. We are the final appeal. We are now in the process of resolving this conflict between the angels. Was a loving God just in condemning his creatures to the lake of fire? Will man believe in a God, which he cannot see, even against the deceit of Satan? Will man put his faith in Jesus Christ with the whole world’s false religious and secular systems against him? Does man love and trust God simply because of the blessings that God has given him? Will a true believer in the person of Jesus Christ deny him, even in the face of death?

Man gets put to the test. When he passes the test, by truly believing in Christ, Satan is proven wrong in his accusations. When a person believes in Jesus Christ, God’s judgment of Satan is vindicated for all to see. Man is the test and the angels are observing. Those who do not believe during their lifetime are irrelevant, as far as God is concerned, because God has no dealings with those who reject him. They are discarded, because they have discarded Jesus Christ. Many millions have come to Christ and each one who does proves God’s judgment fair and Satan’s accusations of God false. The entire period of human history is the appeal trial of Satan. We now have a choice. Those who want to be with God can be, and those who have allowed themselves to be deceived will share the fate of Satan. Everyone has a free will to believe, or not to believe. If we did not have a free will, everyone would have to believe the same way.

Satan has no foreknowledge and therefore, still believes that he can become his own god, and he is attempting to destroy God’s creation of man’s soul in order to do it. He wants to totally destroy Christians and their ability to proclaim the gospel to unbelievers. People who end up in the Lake of fire with Satan will have no choice but to worship him. The corrupt world’s history will demonstrate what Satan would be like if he were a god. Satan has a bitter hatred of Jesus and his followers. Believers are the enemy of Satan and unbelievers are the enemy of God. Satan wants to deceive as many people as possible, by any means possible. He has two main goals. He wants to dupe unbelievers into spreading his lies, and to be condemned to hell, thereby, depriving God of Love and fellowship with his creation. Secondly, he strongly desires to deceive Christians into believing false doctrines. This is an effort get their focus off of witnessing, so that they will not lead others to Christ.

He will destroy your life if he can in order to achieve this goal. Today many churches are actually allowing Satan to infiltrate by allowing non Biblical practices, such as homosexual pastors and priests, the teaching of evolution, worshiping with idols, commercialism etc. All of these false peripheral issues constitute religion, and turn mans focus away from God’s plan, the true issue of salvation and the Christian life. Satan uses every trick in the book to deceive individuals such as Godless evolution, sexual perversion, false teaching churches and religions, Satanism and demonism, the lust for money, fame, material possessions, Christian activism etc. Satan is very clever. He will twist the truth ever so slightly as to make these things seem true, good and pleasant so that an unsuspecting person will believe it to be truth. In the case of evolution, he has presented a concept that seems plausible on the surface, but with further study, exposes itself to be not only false but absurd. I studied it for many years and ended up with more questions than I started with.

Many people, especially exceedingly liberally minded people, are deceived by it because they are surface thinkers, they do not seek truth and do not believe in anything they cannot verify, (except evolution) and will not bother to study both sides of the issue in depth. Satan will take advantage of our laziness and our ignorance for his purposes. No matter what path a man has taken in his life, if he diligently seeks the truth, he will ultimately end up at the doorstep of Christ. Satan, with the help of his demons, will do whatever it takes to keep someone’s eyes off of Jesus Christ. He study’s you. He knows your weaknesses. He throws out stumbling blocks at the right time, to make you doubt God and his Word. He sets up things, such as political correctness, to try and force people to say they believe in things, which they know are not true, so that they will feel like they are going along with the crowd.

He uses human weaknesses and financial problems to break up families so that children will be raised by only one parent. It is usually the woman, the one who was deceived. This is an attempt to have children raised without the wisdom and discipline of a father, and to live an unbalanced life so that they will be open to evil things. Satan works his hardest within the church. He has set up a system which many times leave out Jesus Christ entirely. This is where he twists the truth the most. Some people may be saved in spite of Satan’s deceit, but some may not and this is what Satan wants. He wants us to misunderstand what the Bible is truly telling us.

Satanic Work in the Church

Your English translation of the Bible, or any other translation for that matter, is not the inspired word of God. The English Bible is a human translation of the inspired word of God and is subject to error. The only infallible inspired word of God is the original manuscripts, and this can be quite different in some areas than any translation. Other language translations may have different mistranslation in different parts of the Bible so, things can get confusing unless we go back to the original languages and study them in light of the time and place in which they were written.

Unraveling Confusion

Down through the centuries God has given certain scholars and pastors the spiritual gift to unravel all of this so, the truth is available to us whenever we seek it out. The ancient languages of Hebrew, Aramaic, Chaldean and koine Greek are the original languages, and we must either know them ourselves, or have been taught by someone who does know them. At any rate, every pastor or teacher should be aware of these language problems, and at least have a working knowledge of them. All translations of the Bible have mistranslations and inaccuracies in them. Furthermore, the King James Version of

the Bible, which was a fairly accurate translation at the time it was published in the year 1611 to the people of that time, has become difficult to understand for modern day English speakers because of differences in meanings between the old English and new English words and colloquialisms. (Popular phrases and sayings of the time and place.)

Misunderstandings

People often misunderstand the King James Bible, because they do not understand King James himself. For example, King James wrote in Genesis 3:16 that a husband would “rule over his wife.” People take this to mean that God said a husband is the boss, and his wife is supposed to do everything that he says. This is not the meaning of that verse at all. King James was a peaceful benevolent king. He considered his people in the highest regards. To him, as a king, ruling over people meant having the responsibility to take care of them, protect them and seeing to their every need in a loving and respectful manner, as a caretaker, not a tyrant. So, an understanding of history is often necessary for a true understanding of the Bible. I often wonder how many wives have been mistreated because of a misunderstanding of this one verse.

King James’ linguists had the task of relating things that happened from the time of creation, to the Days of Jesus, to his time in the 1600’s. From his publishing in 1611 until the time of this writing, three hundred and ninety five years have passed, and the English language has changed considerably. Because of this, misunderstandings arise, and guess who is there to take advantage of these misunderstandings? Satan has placed his own followers in the churches to tout and enforce the teaching of these misunderstandings, which of course, lead to false gospels and doctrines within the church.

Fringe groups also arise and promote false things such as the so-called National Council of Churches. This group claims to represent thirty six religions and denominations around the world, and puts on a façade of Christianity, but behind the scenes it promotes teachings contrary to God’s word and embraces extreme far left ideals and programs. It is doing to Christianity what the ACLU is doing to Civil liberties.

The ACLU is, in effect, telling us that if they can ban God out of everything, and force Christians to shut up and quit praying, we will have liberty. “Lawyers against the freedom of religion” should be their motto.

What is even worse is the ‘World Council of Churches’ which again uses the name of Christ to sucker in new members, but in reality is a confusing hodgepodge of totally false doctrines. Its true purpose is what’s known as “Ecumenism” which means to bring all churches into one faith or, in other words, a one world religion which the Bible is clearly against. You can bet the farm that religion would not be Christ.

Satan wants a one world religion so that he can hop in the driver’s seat when the time is right, and use religion in a big way to destroy everything Christian. The fact that some three hundred denominations have joined this evil outfit should tell you something about Satan’s influence in the modern church. Under a one world religion you will have no choice but to believe the way it dictates. Satan absolutely hates two things. People who speak the truth about God, and man’s free will. A one world religion will destroy both at the same time, and people will be on their way to hell in a tea kettle. These organizations are nothing but gross deceit, and should not be supported by Christians or anyone else for that matter. Don’t be deceived.

Using the name of God for self enrichment

Many churches use the name of Jesus Christ as bait to lure you in. Once you are in they get you involved in all of their rituals, false teachings, tongues speaking and who knows what all, in an effort to get you emotionally attached to them. Their real goal is not to learn the Word of God, but to indoctrinate you, so they can get into your wallet. How many times have you seen, on television, some smooth talking character sitting behind a desk for an hour asking for money? If he simply ask for donations for whatever he wanted in a straightforward manner, there is no problem. Often he will say something like “I see ten people out there that are called by God to give five hundred dollars.” Well, if he can get ten suckers who think they are one of the fortunate ten called by God to cough up five hundred each, he has just pocketed five thousand bucks. However, he knows that there might be hundreds of people, out of all the people watching, who think they are one of the ten special people. I have known some of these money grubbers personally, and I’ll tell you, they are hustlers. They don’t want a ten or twenty dollar donation either, forget that. They want a thousand or five thousand. I have heard them actually say that “God is asking someone to give fifty thousand dollars.”

They will ask you to pledge money that you don’t even have, so that you will feel obligated to give when you do get some money. Well, how many people won’t have any money in the future? Perhaps they have your income tax refund in mind. Then they tell some phony stories about people who gave five hundred and the next day got a half million from God. If that were the case, why do so many of these preachers invest in the stock market? Money is not a measure of God’s blessings.

Many of the world’s richest people are atheists. These people spin the Bible so hard that the pages fly out. They will tell you anything to get your money. These hustlers shut their eyes, put their hand on their forehead, grimace, then tell you that God is speaking to them. This leads you to believe that he has an inside track to God, and special abilities to see you in his mind, through a miraculous vision, because God thinks he is so special. They are lying, and anyone with half a brain can see it. We know that Satan is the father of all lies.

“He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” (John 8:44b)

God never sent anyone to hold you upside down, and shake money out of your pockets. These so-called preachers don’t have enough knowledge about God to stick in a gnat’s ear, but yet they present themselves as special people of God.

Unbelievers laugh at this kind of thing and are turned off by their phoniness, but these hustlers don’t care because they aren’t trying to preach the gospel to the unsaved, they are looking for gullible people to make themselves rich.

Sow and Reap

Often churches will tell you that Jesus’ parable of sowing a seed and reaping a harvest means to give money, to get money back from God. Sowing and reaping has nothing to do with money. Sowing a seed means hearing the true word of God taught, and reaping means that it will be beneficial to your life and to the lives of those to whom you witness.

“But he (the believer) that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit,(new believers) and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” (Matthew 13:23)

Christians have a responsibility to learn the word of God, and tell the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the unbelieving world. There are many unbelievers in the world, but there are few people who have a true understanding of the Gospel and teach it to others. This is what Jesus meant when he said:

“The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few…” (Matthew 9: 37)

Commercialism

Commercialism is one of the worst things that has ever hit the church. Jesus himself said that you cannot serve God and money.

“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”

(money) (Matthew 6:24)

We cannot let money be the focus of our attention, either in our personal lives or in our churches. Money should serve God. We should use it wisely and make sure that anything we spend money on will lead others to Christ. You can bet that if you don’t adhere strictly to the scriptures Satan will have you thinking that you must have a bigger church building with fancier furnishings, a new gym, Disneyland rides, an orchestra, lots of gold cups and crosses, expensive new recording equipment, a bigger steeple, airplanes, more land or a number of other things which really just reflect peoples desires, and not the Lord’s command to preach the gospel. Some churches now have jet aircraft so their preacher won’t be inconvenienced by going through a public airport. Even small jets cost millions of dollars. Jesus rode on a donkey when he wasn’t walking. Most mega churches have become so commercialized that they look like a super Wal-Mart with a pulpit.

Giving money to your church is necessary for its operation, and is legitimate, as long as we follow the Biblical instructions concerning it. If we give our money to the money grubbers on television, we are not supporting our true church. What they are trying to do, by having a nationwide audience, is to steal donations that should be going to your local church, and use it for their big salaries or to promote their so-called television ministries. This hurts the small churches, which many times preach the true gospel and doctrines without all of the fanfare and materialism. Not all pastors on television are this way, but you probably never pay attention to them because they may not be a young, hand picked, slick haired guy with all of the whoop-de-do which normally accompanies false teaching.

False Teachers

It must be understood that not everything a false teacher teaches, is false. He may give a sermon that is totally true but at the end of it, when he presents the gospel, (if he even does) he may distort it just enough so that it leaves out the spiritual death of Jesus Christ, as a sacrifice for our sins, and will replace it with something that we must do, such as “repenting of sin,” and may replace faith \ with “inviting Jesus.” The really sad part is that the workers and followers, who get caught up in all of this nonsense, have no clue that they are participating in evil because it “seems” right to them. This demonstrates how much smarter Satan is than all of us. He is destroying the teaching of the Word of God, and using the Christians money to do it. Don’t think for a moment that you can’t be deceived. If Satan can deceive a third of the angels in heaven, he can certainly deceive you. The only counter punch to Satan is a correct knowledge of God’s word.

I am not saying to not ever give anyone any money. I am saying that neither the church nor these television ministries have any business deceiving you, and I am demonstrating how Satan operates within the church.

Music

I have played my guitar in gospel groups for many years, and so far, have never seen anyone come to Christ as a result. It was just something I wanted to do. Now, looking back, I realize that the most effective thing that I have ever done was to simply tell people the true gospel, and answer a few questions which they may have. Music itself is not the Gospel. It is a form of worship. It can contain the gospel, and sometimes does, and this may lead someone to want to know Christ. Music is a prelude to the Gospel. It should be an introduction to the gospel message, and not a ministry of its own. Christ should be preeminent in any Gospel music and not some frizzy haired, distorted rock musician, who looks like Dracula with a neon guitar.

Music should be simple and humble. The gospel is simple, and Christians are commanded to be humble before the Lord. Music should be respectful, and a reflection of God’s grace and mercy.

Healing

Once again the church has turned something that Jesus did, for a specific purpose, into nonsense. Jesus healed people to gain a following so that everyone would know he was from God and listen to him. He did not heal people just to make everyone healthy. If this had been the case, Jesus would have been remiss in not healing the whole world of all disease and suffering. Jesus used the miracles to get their attention, and then gave them the gospel message.

“And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them. And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.” (Matthew 4:24-35)

God can heal people today. He may want a persons life extended because he knows they will serve his purpose later on, but this healing comes only through prayer and faith, not by a phony miracle a minute faith healer who is in it for the money.

Stay with the Truth

Satan’s false religions are filled with all sorts of false clichés and false beliefs which lead to false systems of salvation. Each of these has one thing in common; Jesus Christ and faith are excluded. So then, what is the true way of salvation? The apostle John writes:

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” (John 1:12)

In our walk through life we must be very careful about what we believe and how we conduct our lives. People believe things because they believe what man tells them to believe. Satan has his hand in everything. God has a specific purpose for our lives, so we must always compare what man says with what the Bible truly says in order to determine what the truth is, so that we discover and carry out our purpose. Our purpose is not to collect money and build buildings to impress man, but to spread the good news of salvation to others, and this is free in most cases.

Flashy robes, idols, entertainment, grand buildings and the like, accomplish absolutely nothing for God. They stimulate our ego, and waste resources that should be used for feeding the poor and homeless and properly presenting the gospel to the unsaved. Satan wants us to get our eyes on materialistic things and off of the true purpose of simply teaching the gospel. Most Christian churches today have fallen into materialism, self promotion and self glorification. They have just about abandoned true Bible teaching, and have put God somewhere in the background. They will proclaim him in word perhaps, but their works, tradition and lack of teaching, deny him.

We have the instruction book and we must read and study it in order to gain the wisdom necessary to avoid Satan’s pitfalls that we face in our churches. Unbelievers observe the actions of Christians and often form their beliefs about God, not so much by what we say, but by what we do and how we behave within the church.

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.

(1 Peter 5:6-8)

Wow, I am sure glad you have all of the answers. Thanks for putting it all so clearly. Everyone is wrong, but you are right. I thought God was something we could find within ourselves, I guess I thought wrong. What would we ever do without the Bible. Before I read your thoughts I was free in my heart and in my mind, but now you have put the fear of Hell into me. Oh well, thanks for getting me back on the right track. To bad most of God’s creation is going to burn in a lake of fire for being a little confused. Hopefully you will get to them first.
Ben

It’s free will. For or against God. For humans that free will is expressed in the act of accepting Christ’s pardon (death on the cross) for our sin.

It is a sad fact that many people choose against God. Very sad, but we all have free will. We have no one else to blame but one’s self if they choose against God for whatever reason.

In the end, all reasons for rejecting Christ will sound silly.

Picture God asking you. “So why did you not accept the pardon for your sin?” What’s gonna be the answer? “It was too simple”? Don’t think that’s gonna fly with God. Thing about God is… You can’t lie to him. He knows your heart.

I’m glad to see such a lengthy defense of choice. . .the pro-choice movement has found an unlikely ally it seems. Thanks for your support! Let it be known that all women have free will!

You can pin all the problems you like on Satan, it’s no worse than any other “devil made me do it” sort of explanation that has been heard throughout time. It still strikes as superstitious nonsense and I do wonder why Stumbleupon would think I’d be interested in such nonsense.

Financial problems are the fault of Satan? Please. Humans invented all systems of commerce. We didn’t need a devil to push us on that one.

“Satan has no foreknowledge and therefore, still believes that he can become his own god, and he is attempting to destroy God’s creation of man’s soul in order to do it.” Where on earth do you get this stuff? It sounds like a bad Hollywood movie rather than anything Biblical, or is this all just supposition?

I also find the whole thing about mistranslation amusing since you harp on the homosexuals for just a moment there. None of the original languages had a word for “homosexual”. It was a much later invention. I’d also hesitate to call them the “original” languages. Perhaps of the Bible but not of humanity. (Or are we to ignore Babylon, Gilgamesh, and the other things in cuneiform?)

Many of the worlds richest people are atheists? Huh. Never heard of the Vatican have you? How about Pat Robertson? I mean Christianity is the religion with the most adherents in the world. I think you’re trying to be cheaply divisive and use scare tactics here. The “us versus them” mentality really has past its prime in a lot of ways.

This whole thing smacks of superstitious paranoia, jumping at every shadow and everything that disagrees with you as though it means you personal harm. You’re welcome to live your life like that, but I do wish you’d keep others out of it.

Did you even read Jack’s commentary? The idea is people use free will to follow God or worldly things (which satan does use) to lead people down a path not of God.

The idea is that satan doesn’t care what it is, so long as it’s not of God. Thus why in the world you have so many things that try to lead you away from the moral liftstyle they Bible tells you to lead.

Your gonna sin in life, but if your liar, then you should watch out for that weakness, if you lust work on that weakness not just give in to the lust or weakness in an attempt to follow God.
