Boy have we been busy. Just launched our new website GodlyDesktop.com which is a fun site for me because it has nothing to do with news but with graphics, images and code and using them for God which I love to do in a creative way. So it’s a refreshing change…

My wife Kris is doing a lot of the desktops on there now, in fact i believe all of them on there right now are hers. We are waiting for some to submit some.

We are working on a exciting new feature I just completed (still working on security checks, not my strong point in php) it’s called “Build Your Own Desktop” and it’s where you can pick a font, text size, what background, etc and make your own desktop wallpaper on the fly. Fun stuff and is a real joy coding it from the ground up. Should you be a PHP coder and know a wee bit about security and ImageMagick hit me up I’d love input.

Our next project after GodlyDesktop.com is ChristTube where it will be kind of a youtube clone but with a few nice options. I’m not sure how feasible this will be and if you have a server and some bandwidth and would like to be apart of it hit me up we have some exciting ideas we want to try and bring to ChristTube.org

Little birdie told me Jack Heckathorne is working on a new book, he’s co-authoring this one… so I heard… Sorry can’t give up the details just yet. 

One other note, I’m also working on what will be GJCN 4.0 which is really a redesign of the main content page of GJCN homepage. Instead of the formal blog layout we are going with a more newsie type layout and where we can feature a lot more of GJCN commentary. It’s more of a focus on the commentary and a little less on news, however the news will be updated far more often.

Using StumbleUpon.com tool bar you can help drive traffic to GJCN.org. In this GJCN How-To we cover step by step how to get signed up and using the SU toolbar!

Step one:

Go to http://www.stumbleupon.com/sign_up.php?pre2=nav_join and sign up. It’s a simple and easy form.

Step Two:

Now fill in your information, don’t forget to fill in the human check at the bottom!

Step Three:

Now this part is important because you want to install the toolbar so you always have it.
You can click the right side option to just use the web bar but it’s gone after you close
the browser and you’ll have to reload it every time. Best option is just install the toolbar.
It’s a clean and simple tool bar. You’ll have a lot of fun with it!

Step Four:

Now let’s change a few settings. You can get to this page at stumbleupon.com then
click your name at the top right. Then click “Preferences”. Or by using the tool bar
the last button to the right on the SU toolbar is “Tools –> Profile Preferences” will
also get you to this page.

On this page you can upload a profile picture, change some settings and at the bottom
left you can select if you want adult sites or not. Just select don’t show adult sites
and your all safe!

Once your done here, now click the “Manage Interests” link on the right (big red circle
on the right in the image) (now read step five)

Step Five:

Here is the greatest thing about SU (StumbleUpon.com). You can select what categories
you want to see sites about. Yes they have an awesome Christian category and quite
a few others you will find fun and interesting. (Check out the News(general) and the
Israel) categories are very interesting. Now on down to step six! Final step how you help!

Step Six:

Now this is the final step in this GJCN How-To and is the most exciting! Each and every
one of you have great power with SU tool bar. You can go to any page on GJCN.org
and click the button “I like it” which by doing so will send many people to the site. Every
click counts! You can also write reviews on pages you like using the tool bar.

When you click the “thumbs up / I like it” button on a page that hasn’t been clicked on yet
you will submit it to stumbleupon.com, this is neat because you’ll be the first to submit
something (works on any website).

What does this do? How does this help?

This helps drive massive amounts of traffic to GJCN. Don’t stop on just one page,
click the thumbs up on any page on GJCN. Any of the commentary, news stories whatever
pages doesn’t matter. You have the power now to drive a lot of traffic to any page!

Just a few of us, (Jack, Me my wife) using this made a huge impact on GJCN.org’s traffic
If we all use it to do this we will be getting GJCN out there in the world where otherwise
people would never see or hear good Christian information! This is a very valuable tool
we have and I think it’s important to use it. If you can not donate to GJCN this is a very
simple and powerful way to help GJCN grow with out costing a dime!

It is our belief the Word of God should remain free to all who are in search of God’s Word. Jesus Christ was pure and unmistakably clear that God’s Word (the Holy Bible) is the truth literally.

You’ll find that after living your life according to God’s will and not your own, things will change in your life and things can happen for you that you never thought possible! Life is a journey with God only he knows your path. We welcome everyone here.

We believe that only with Bible Doctrine in the frontal lobe can the Holy Sprint guide you.  This takes place in the Believer who learns and applies the word of God to the Believer’s life.

Our faith statement is very simple. Below using the King James version of the bible (1611 version):

We are all sinners!

Romans 3:23 – For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

This means that we have done wrong against God. Yes every single one of us!

The Good News (Gospel)

Romans 3:22 – Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
Romans 3:23 – For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Romans 3:24 – Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Finally – John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

The Christ died on the cross for every person on earth. Your personal Sin is not the issue now. Your “belief” in Christ’s work is. To say, Accept the pardon that Jesus Christ is offering to all mankind.

How do you become a “Christian”? How do you become “Born Again”? How do you become “Saved”? How do you go to “Heaven”?

Simple. Tell God you accept HIS pardon of Jesus Christ’s work on the cross for your sins! By doing so God “purchases” you from the “slave market of sin” and places you in HIS Royal Family. You become a “child of God”. Therefor you are now one of God’s Children and part of the “Body” of Christ.

What does this do? Well for one by accepting the pardon of Christ, at Judgment Day you will not have to answer for your sins. Because all of your sins have been paid for. Your works will you then be rewarded for. For the unbeliever (those who have not accepted Christ’s Pardon) will only have “works” to pay for sin. Only one problem with that. Fifty trillion good works won’t even pay for one sin because not one good work is equal to that of God’s righteousness! This is why Jesus Christ had to be pure, sinless, man and God all at once. Thus why it was God’s seed put into Mary and not a man’s.

That’s the start for you as a new believer. Where you go from here is completely up to you. Will you continue to learn God’s word and grow your sprint in to maturity? Thus why it’s called “born again” because at the time most people accept Christ’s pardon that are babies in the knowledge of God. Only by reading your bible, learning from a good bible church and applying God’s word to your life will your spirit grow into maturity to the Glory of God!

What happens in the End?
Well that your just gonna have to learn by reading your Bible! It’s in there I promise! … And it’s Wonderful!

Other neat facts from the bible:

FACT: Believers in Jesus Christ can not be demon possessed. Why? Two reasons, One there is a seal put upon you that marks you as God’s own. Two, The Holy Sprint enters you thus not allowing demons to enter. HOWEVER believers can be “tested” by satan (such as Job and Lot’s wife). Believers can be influenced by satan or demons. (Such as Jesus was when satan offered him all the kingdoms of earth and has the power to do so)

FACT: You can not lose your Salvation no matter what you do once you truely accept the pardon of Jesus Christ. Why? Because as a believer you are “purchased” from the slave market of sin. By your free will God pays (Jesus Christ) for your sins and places you in his royal family as his child. You are now apart of his family and can not be removed because Jesus paid the price and your name is now in the book of life. You are apart of the body of Christ. HOWEVER, this is not licence to sin. God will discipline his child just as you would your own. Problem is you can’t hide from God and he knows just what to do and gives you PLENTY of chances to clean up your act should you get off the path. (take my word on this one lol, if he knows your heart is open to serve him he’ll make your way)

I. We believe that the HOLY SCRIPTURES are the inspired Word of God, that they are authoritative free of error and God- breathed. (II Tim. 3:16-17, II Peter 1:20-21, Matt. 5:18, John 16:12)

V. We believe that the HOLY SPIRIT is a Person who convicts the world of sin, indwells all believers in the present age, baptizes them into the Body of Christ, seals them unto the Day of Redemption, and that it is the duty of every believer to be filled with the Holy Spirit. (Rom. 8:9, I Cor. 12: 12-14, Eph. 1: 13-14, 5: 18)

VI. We believe that SALVATION is the Gift of God brought to man by Grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood shed for the forgiveness (remission) of sins. (Eph. 2: 8-10, John 1: 12, Eph. 1:7)

VII. We believe that all believers are KEPT SECURE forever, (Rom. 8: 1, 38-39, John 10:27-30, I Cor. 1:4-8)

VIII. We believe that the CHURCH, which is the Body and Bride of Christ, is a spiritual organism made up of all born again persons of this age irrespective of their affiliations with Christian organizations (Eph. 1:22-23,5:25-27, 1 Cor. 12: 12-14)

IX. We believe in the personality of SATAN, who is the open and declared enemy of God and man. (Job. 1:6-7, Matt. 4:2-11, Isaiah 14:12-17)

X. We believe that the next great event in the fulfillment of prophecy will be the COMING OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST in the air to receive to Himself the dead in Christ and believers who are alive at His coming, otherwise known as the RAPTURE and translation of the Church (I Cor. 15:51-57, I Thess 4: 13-18, Titus 2: 11-14)

XI. We believe that the souls of those who have trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation do at DEATH immediately pass into His presence, and there remain in conscious bliss until the resurrection of the body at His coming when the soul and body reunited shall be associated with Him forever in glory; but the souls of unbelievers remain after death in conscious misery until the final judgment of the Great White Throne at the close of the Millennium, when soul and body reunited shall be cast into the Lake of Fire, not to be annihilated, but to be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ and from the Glory of His power, (Luke 156: 19-26, 23:43, II Cor. 5:8, Philip. 1:23, II Thess. 1:7-9, Jude 6-7, Rev. 20: 11-15)

XII. We believe that all believers should WALK in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon the Lord and that separation from worldly pleasures and practices is commanded of God (Rom. 12:1-1, II Cor. 6:17-17:1); that it is the obligation of every believer to witness by life and by word to the truths of Holy Scripture and to seek to proclaim the Gospel to all the world ( Acts I : 8 ) that it is the responsibility of all believers to remember the work of the Lord in prayer and to support it with their means as the Lord has prospered them (I Cor. 16: 12)

XIII. We believe that God, as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, is SOVEREIGN and exercises supreme and absolute rule over all creation as part of and consistent with the essence and attributes of Deity (I Chron. 29:11-12, Dan. 4:35, Psa. 24:1, Eph. 1:11, I Tim. 6:15).

XIV. We believe that SPIRITUALITY is an absolute condition in the life of every believer in this Age wherein he is controlled by or filled with the Holy Spirit, walking in love and fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ, and is contrasted to CARNALITY which is the opposite absolute condition of the life of the believer wherein he is no longer controlled by or filled with the Holy Spirit. We believe that a believer becomes carnal through any act of mental, verbal, or overt sin; that spirituality or fellowship with Christ is restored solely by confession of sin to God. (I John 1:9, John 15:7-8, II Cor. 5:7, Gal. 5:16, Eph. 5:18, Rom. 6:11-13, I John 1:5, I Cor. 11:30-31)

XV. We believe that SPIRITUAL MATURITY is a relative condition in the life of the believer, is distinct from spirituality and is attained only by the consistent reception, belief in, and application in the believer’s life of the divine principles revealed by consistent study over time of the Word of God. We believe that we are commanded by God to attain spiritual maturity in this life (2 Tim. 2:15).
