israeli-f-16i_2 Today in the Jerusalem Post there is an interesting article that talks about a report from the British newspaper The Sunday Times that claims that Saudi Arabia has agreed to allow the Israeli Air Force (IAF) to use it’s airspace in an attack on Iran’s nuclear program. The article reports:

Saudi Arabia has indicated to Israel that it would not protest use of its airspace by Israeli fighter jets in the event the government resolves to launch a military assault against Iran, according to a report which appeared in the British newspaper The Sunday Times. According to The Sunday Times, Mossad chief Meir Dagan held secret meetings with Saudi officials, who gave their tacit approval to Israel’s use of the kingdom’s airspace.

The article further reported:

"The Saudis have tacitly agreed to the Israeli air force flying through their airspace on a mission which is supposed to be in the common interests of both Israel and Saudi Arabia," The Sunday Times quoted a diplomatic source as saying last week. The report also quoted John Bolton, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, as saying that it would be "entirely logical" for Israeli warplanes to fly over Saudi Arabia en route to bombing nuclear targets in Iran. Though any Israeli attack would be roundly condemned by Mideast leaders at the UN, Bolton said Arab leaders have privately expressed trepidation at the prospect of a nuclear-armed Iran.

This article is especially interesting as it appears that the Arab world is starting to get serious in dealing with the Iranian nuclear threat even if it means cooperating with Israel to get the job done. This whole situation appears to be heading to a peak pretty soon. As we noted in the last Rapture Report, it is being reported that the Israelis are sending their submarines down the Suez Canal in naval operations. The Egyptians for their part denied any such actions are taking place as seen by a recent Haaretz newspaper article. The Haaretz newspaper article stated:

A senior Egyptian security official on Saturday denied reports that an Israeli submarine had sailed the Suez Canal last month as part of a naval drill. "Egypt does not allow Israeli warships to enter our territory," Army Radio quoted the official as saying. On Friday, defense sources reported that an Israeli submarine had sailed the Suez Canal to the Red Sea last month, describing the unusual maneuver as a show of strategic reach in the face of Iran.

I would tend to think that the Egyptians for their part are denying any such operations so as to not anger the ruling regime in Tehran. Iran and it’s terrorist proxies have sleeper cells in Egypt and they can cause quite a bit of trouble for Egypt if they so desire. Iran and Egypt are currently not on the best of terms right now as there is alot of tension between Arabs and Moslems over the nuclear issue, so it is probably seen by the Egyptian leadership to be in the best interest to play down or deny any cooperation with Israel. This is probably not only to keep from angering Iran but also to keep their own islamic population at rest as well.

Despite the quick and strong objections from Egypt saying that they did not allow Israeli submarines to utilize the Suez Canal, a Jerusalem Post news article surfaced today that stated that witnesses had seen an Israeli submarine cross the Suez Canal on Sunday. The article reported:

An IDF Navy Dolphin-class submarine that participated in maneuvers off the Eilat coast last week returned to Israel via the Suez Canal on Sunday according to witnesses’ reports. The submarine was spotted returning through the waterway along with an Israeli missile boat.

From reading these articles and from analyzing previous news reports it sure seems to me that there is a significant amount of "psychological warfare" and spreading of "disinformation" going on right now in the Middle East as Iran speeds to the finish line in the nuclear program. We know that the "window of opportunity" to stop Iran from acheiving a nuclear weapon is closing quickly.

Over the last few months, we have heard reports of long distance aerial missions being carried out by the IAF. We have heard reports of Israeli submarines crossing the Suez Canal for the first time in years. And then finally today it was being reported that Saudi Arabia will let the IAF fly over the kingdom in a bid to stop Iran’s nuclear program. I don’t know about anyone else, but it sure looks like things are heating up and getting interesting as this could lead us closer to Bible prophecy foretold by the Bible Ezekiel 38-39. The Ezekiel 38-39 scenario envisions a Russian led Moslem coalition invading Israel "like a storm and a cloud" in order to take a spoil. It would seem to me that if Israel does indeed strike Iran, causing an untold numbers of Russian and Iranian nuclear technician deaths, it is easy to see a scenario where these allies band together to extract revenge on Israel. And as we know from Ezekiel this will be a fatal mistake for the invaders.

Being students of Bible prophecy, let us be "watchmen on the wall" and continue to warn the world about the coming fulfillments of Bible prophecy. May God bless you as we watch his Holy Word come true in our lifetimes and let us continue to pray that the Lord’s perfect plan for the redemption of man takes place. Let us use Bible prophecy as a tool to reach the lost and show them that the Lord is firmly in control.

God bless.

Two separate Battles separated by the Millennium –

Ezekiel 38 speaks of two battles, the battle of Armageddon AND the battle of Gog and Magog.

The battle of Armageddon is a PLAGUE event occurring just prior to the Millennium. The battle of Gog and Magog occurs AFTER the Millennium.

To conclude: The battle of Armageddon and the battle of Gog and Magog are two separate events separated by a 1000 years, the Millennium.
