Fundamentalists like you are using Paul’s theology to rationalize sin instead of overcome it. Absurdities replace the common sense that Christ taught.

If someone dented your car, would you want them to burn a carcass for forgiveness?

If you had a toaster that was broke, could you “redeem” it for a new one by killing the manufacturers son? That’s how asinine Paul’s theology is.

Justification is absurd. If you tried to justify a crime before a judge, he would double the sentence. Rational persons don’t want sin justified, they just want it to end, which is the only thing Christ described.

Christ taught that common sense is the basis of morality. He said we are supposed to “understand” what he taught (Mat 15:10)(John 4:22). Understanding requires common sense.

It means Paul’s theology is not valid. Even if Paul were told to preach, it does not mean his words are any better than anyone’s else’s, let alone infallible or equivalent to
Christ’s words. His theology is too perverse to allow it to contradict common sense or Christ’s words.

Paul was nothing but an a self-sanctifying braggart. His saying something does not make it fact.

Dear Gary,

Please note: It is not sin which is justified. It is the sinner who is justified to enter Heaven. It is the Judicial act of God that imputes His righteousness to everyone who believes in Jesus Christ and declares them righteous. If Paul’s writings were not valid why did Jesus himself see to his conversion. In Acts 9:15 Jesus tells Ananais that Paul “is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and Kings and the children of Israel.” In other words Jesus chose Paul to teach (bear his name) before everyone. Therefore, Paul’s teachings are legitimate. If Jesus chose him and he is God he would have had full knowledge of what Paul would teach and approve of it beforehand. Your assessment of justification is not only incorrect your reasons for rejecting it are based on flawed human logic rather than scriptures. You state on your site that Paul lied about Jesus telling him to preach. It was Luke who wrote Acts about Pauls Conversion not Paul therefore, you are calling Luke a Liar as well.. It was also Luke who wrote the words of Jesus (the beatitudes) which you claim to believe. So, is Luke just lying about the things of Paul and telling the truth about Jesus?

Jesus would have to be really stupid to allow a liar to write 14 books of the New Testament wouldn’t he? Do you really believe that he would allow that to happen and deceive the very people he wanted to save? What’s wrong with this picture?

Jesus did teach morality. However, he did not teach that it would save you. Where do you find in scripture where Jesus says works will save you? He taught morality as a means of living the Christian life. He defined morality for the Christian which we should follow. As for salvation Jesus said “Be of good cheer I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD” Jn 16:33. We overcome the world by believing in him. “Who is he that overcomes the world but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God. [1 Jn 5:5].
Jesus also said “And whosoever lives and believes in me shall never die” Jn 11:26.

This agrees completely with Paul’s teaching. “For by Grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast. Eph. 2:8&9 .

You claim that Paul never declared that his writings were inspired. This is not true. Paul made the definitive statement about the inspired writings. In 2 Tim. 3:16-17 Paul declares ” All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction for instruction in righteousness , that the man of God (believers) might be mature thoroughly furnished unto (prepared to do) all good works.”

You deny Jesus as the sin bearer on the cross for the forgiveness of sin. Peter (isn’t he the Pope?) said “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we being dead to (because of) sin should live unto righteousness, by whose stripes ( punishment for sin) we are healed (drawn together with God.)

Speaking of justification Peter also says: “For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just (Jesus) for the unjust (us), that he might bring us to God (justification), being put to death in the flesh but quickened (made alive) by the Spirit. Are you calling Peter, an eyewitness of the crucifixion a liar as well?

Do you think that its possible that the Bible is the inspired Word of God as it claims and you are just not correctly understanding it? Who is the authority? God who is perfect or Man who is imperfect, finite and sinful? You make it sound as if you are the authority and Jesus should be learning from you concerning Paul.

If I had a toaster that was broken I wouldn’t need a new one if I could fix it myself . Since I can’t fix it myself I have to have someone fix it for me. God declares that the payment for sin is death. Gods justice with regards to sin must be satisfied. Doing good deeds and works is not death. Therefore the sentence of death is not paid by doing good works.. In addition, we are not worthy to save ourselves because all of us are the condemned. The condemned cannot save the condemned. If you are on death row can the guy in the next cell save you from the execution? Can you save yourself? No you need someone from the outside like the governor who is qualified to save you. Jesus being the God/Man, the mediator between God and man and sinless was the only one who could pay the death penalty for sin and be our substitute.

“But as many as have received him to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. John 1:12.
